GENERAL GOALS
The conference intends to contribute to the dissemination of research results and professional experiences focused on the psychology of tourism and quality of life. In particular, it offers the opportunity to gather the experiences of the many researchers (in Italy and abroad) who are contributing to lay the foundations for a psychology of tourism and quality of life that is theoretically and methodologically relevant and practically effective.
The conference also aims to stimulate scientific discussion on the many issues raised by the ongoing pandemic emergency, including the effects of the mobility blocking that has occurred in many countries worldwide.
We welcome contributions from authors of all disciplinary fields (psychology, sociology, economy, geography, engineering, etc.) who have applied psychological theories and methods to deepen the understanding and/or manage the many challenges that the tourism sector has faced in recent years.
The conference constitutes one of the very few occasions of disciplinary and interdisciplinary exchange on these issues focused on psychological approaches, organized in recent years, and intends to stimulate research and reflection both on the psycho-social effects of the tourism blocking and on the new scientific and practical opportunities offered by the future “restart”.
